For individuals, not so much. The fact that people celebrate it is an indictment of the media and many other things.

I suspect you never had to deal with the individual health insurance market prior to the ACA. It was a nightmare. Our last application ran to 10's of pages. Miss a prescription you had 5 years ago? Insurance liable to being dropped.

The ACA has done nothing to keep healthcare costs down, I agree.
