Local LEO is obviously biased and wants Ross's scalp for political reasons.

They have already done quite a bit to poison any potential jury pool with their public pronouncements.

It would be irresponsible to involve local law enforcement which could not be relied on to keep what they learn confidential and can not be relied on to protect the alleged "murderer's" right to a fair trial, if it comes to that.

Undoubtedly for a situation of this nature, there would have to first be a signed memorandum of understanding between the feds and the local LEO agency(ies) as to who is calling the shots, which obviously would need to be the feds.

Do you actually think the local LEO authorities would do as they were told or do you think it just might be possible that they would do everything in their power to sabotage the investigation for local political reasons?
