No need to be sorry. I'm always open to new info, as long as it's valid (i.e. not some Xhitter link to Bob's Blog). Your study is more recent than the one I read (since I read it, and have abstained from HFCS, several years before the Pandemic).
Didn't know about the microplastics in cans. I was more concerned about Al diffusing in the soda (which has some links to ALZ). I did read that microplastics from the paint on the cap of the bottles was a likely source of microplastics. Just read that a week or two ago.
I don't drink alcohol (just don't like the taste). I've limited myself to at most one soda per day, without HFCS (which limits what I can buy since most of it has HFCS). I would guess I actually do about 2-3 a week. 1poorlady got me some Poppi because it is a prebiotic. Some of them are actually pretty good. But you are correct, they generally aren't good for you. I have my trusty vacuum bottle of water near me all the time, and that's mostly what I drink.
