It's politically bad for Netanyahu because it proves to Israelis that he's turned Israel into a vassal state of Trump, and Trump doesn't care about Israel's interests. Nothing new about that, but most Israelis have been delusional about Trump. The Israeli public is now turning away from Trump with a sense of betrayal, and that's very bad for Netanyahu.
