Subject: Re: The caused of the LA fires
Now...as to the fires in LA? Santa Ana winds are nothing new. Are these more powerful because of climate change? I don't think it is possible to say.
Depends on the throughput. Santa Ana's happen in various places, and some are cold. There's a drop from the high desert to the coast and temperature increases 5 degrees for every 1k ft drop. The thing is it's dry and blasting, so any fire gets fanned and spread.
Climate change is likely to create pressure differentials in new areas.
