There's nothing brave about him saying something loathsome on the media platform he owns. There's nothing praiseworthy about doing an appalling thing because you don't care about the consequences.

Your esteem for him should not increase after he does something terrible. You shouldn't be praising him - offering him a metaphorical toast - for doing something detestable. Why are you?
