I suspect zelenskyy meant "feel", in the sense that it will touch you. Trump interpreted it as Trump will feel an emotion.
Anybody else see it this way? It wouldn't be the first time a simple misunderstanding of words led to a diplomatic failure.


Seems that was the match. I'd also heard that the 45 minutes that preceded the last 10 minutes when things went sour might have seemed like Zelenskyy lecturing Trump/Vance about how desperate Ukraine was and how much the Ukrainian people have suffered during the last three years. In other words, it might have felt like Zelenskyy was "schooling" the ignorant Trump admin and "talking down" to them. And then Vance set things off.
