Subject: Insurers, brokers, exchanges
Specialty insurers, insurance brokers, data brokers, software, exchanges: a year ago, moaty compounders with enviable returns on capital (many at lofty valuations), now all doomed buggy-whip makers, because LLMs / agentic whatever. You could look at travel agents/platforms as well, but I haven't. Full disclosure: I have an anti-"AI" bias. It seems every time I start a new task, I now have to minimize a pushy prompt from whatever piece of software I'm using, desperately trying to convince me that an LLM can do the work.
