Subject: Re: Democrats Create Jobs...
Makes sense. Big commercial centers are going to generate more cash than rural farms. I suspect (but don't know for a fact) that GA moving out of the bottom 10 was a result of their concerted efforts to make Atlanta a jewel. They have worked hard to make it a place to do business, to have conventions, etc. Delta has their main hub there.

I wonder if server farms are making a dent. You can't really place those in urban areas (expensive real estate). So I believe they are placing them in the middle of nowhere where land is cheap and plentiful. They just need a reliable grid hook-up, and to run some serious network capacity. That has to be generating jobs both from the actual servers, and from supporting the infrastructure (power, network), plus taxes from real estate, worker income, power bills, etc. The largest server farm is in NV, but I'm pretty sure many dot the country.
