Well, the transcripts of the two day DOJ interview with Ghislaine Maxwell were released, and Trump clearly was the one who ultimately directed it.

Would seem to support the belief that Trump will prolong the Epstein saga as long as possible as a convenient, tried and true distraction from more imminently unfavorable issues.

To wit, he prefers Epstein headlines to 'Trump is Putin's Bitch."
