he capitalized on widespread voter frustration with corruption

According to the media, the winner of the election in Hungary is very conservative. He used to be a member of Orban's party. He left Orban's party, ran against him, and won, because of voter anger over the rampant corruption of the Orban regime.

Trump ran in 16 against corruption in government, promising to "drain the swamp". Trump is now presiding over the most stunningly corrupt government in my memory. But that only matters if there are "free and fair" elections in the future.
