Subject: Utah?
I used to ski frequently (and poorly) and have been to many of the ski resorts in Utah but haven't skied in years and my wife doesn't ski so I was thinking a winter trip to Utah that does not involve skiing or a ski resort (no reason to pay a premium when we aren't partaking in the premium activity). I love snow and mountains and my wife does as well despite growing up in AZ.
I was thinking staying somewhere with nice mountain views, and if weather permits do things such as snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
Also would prefer to stay within an hour or so of Salt Lake City. We have an expiring companion pass on Southwest so we are trying to squeeze in a couple of trips before the end of Feb 26.
If anyone sees this and has any suggestions please let me know.
Someone has suggested:
Heber/Midway, Kamas (both have snowmobiling nearby) or Eden UT. I like all three areas: Eden is probably the most scenic. Heber has the most to do. Recommend checking out the Homestead Crater in Heber.
Thanks
Rich
