Subject: DeSantis Versus the High Schooler
Multiple outlets have a story about a high school aged journalist in New Hampshire who has gained a reputation for getting "big asks" on camera with the never-ending trail of presidential candidates who visit the state to practice the "retail politics" the state prides itself upon and that candidates claim to pride themselves on being able to handle to show they're a regular guy or gal.

Well... Except Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis made an appearance in the state last week and the student, Quinn Mitchell, managed to pose a simple question to DeSantis: "Do you believe that Trump violated the peaceful transition of power - a key principal of democracy we must uphold?"

DeSantis of course dodged the question - with cameras rolling - and it was obvious DeSantis was dodging the question so the video was shared widely over the last week, of course making DeSantis look rather impotent for not being able to confidently address a question from a fifteen year old.

Quinn Mitchell, of course, felt bad about it cuz he thought maybe security forces overreacted and pulled DeSantis away prematurely, making it LOOK like he dodged the question. So he saw DeSantis was making another appearance more recently and attended the event and managed to catch up with DeSantis in the middle of a parade, opened up a short dialogue with DeSantis again, STARTING by APOLOGIZING TO DESANTIS for the negative spin attached to the prior week's encounter, only to again feel security team members pull on his shirt to keep Mitchell from keeping pace with DeSantis as he walked or rode on in the parade, to eventually move out of camera / audio range.

Wow. That's some weak sauce there. A GOVERNOR running for PRESIDENT who can't field a question from a fifteen year old high school student. Imagine how he'd do sitting across the table from Putin... Or Xi... Or a Saudi prince with a bone saw fetish.
