I hope you did well and walked away with a smile on your face.

Mixed feelings, really. I was glad to get out of Boeing, with a nice gain, before the collapse. But I was mad that McNerney had nearly destroyed one of US industry's crown jewels, to enrich himself.

Boeing can't do anything right anymore. They moved HQ to DC, to suck up to DoD. Management said they didn't care about commercial market share, of which they had squandered about half of what they had 20 years ago. Commercial airlines expect contracts to be fulfilled, on time and on budget. Try yerking airlines around with excuses and delays, and the airlines start backcharging. DoD's tolerance of sloth seems to be nearly infinite. I agree with Trump on the Air Force 1 contract. Years of putzing around, delays, cost overruns, and Boeing hasn't delivered the new planes yet. I cheered when Trump changed that contract to fixed price, rather than cost plus. Boeing has been crying ever since about how they are losing their shirt. Cry me a river! Where are the damn planes they promised to deliver, years ago?

I'm 72. I plan on living to 100. I wonder if Boeing will deliver service-ready F47s in my lifetime.
