Subject: Footnote: my big surprise thus far
I'm logged into CNBC live feed of the AM, wood stove going, rain pouring outside
There's a "watching now" ticker at the bottom of the CNBC scren: 15,xxx people following along at any given moment
Add the folks in the hall & overflow rooms and those who watch later -- the grand total certainly can't be more than 100K (can it?)
In just the US, there have to be, what, 25MM investors?
So only one in every twenty or so adult investors is watching assuming they're all in the US - which they aren't
Certain acerbic Charlie Munger quotes come to mind
I'll just say I'm a little surprised. If asked, I would have said, oh I dunno, maybe 100-150K watchers worldwide
