The Indians were slaughtering and enslaving one another for centuries before the Europeans even got here.

And the Inca's and Mayans were enslaving and sacrificing one another long before that.

History is full of weaker populations being subjugated by more powerful invaders. It may not be right, but it is the way of the world. That is why most nations have a potent military.

The present state of many (not all) American Indians is sad but self selected. Compare to the success of recent immigrants who integrated themselves into American society and learned how to access the boundless opportunities available in America. It is why the rest of the world wants to migrate here. Yet the American Indians, who are already here, languish on the reservations forever dependent on Government handouts. OK with me, it is their choice but I am not going to feel guilty about it.
