The $36 is ad revenue. You then need to estimate YouTube’s share of subscriptions revenue plus other items that fall under subs/other revenue under Google Services (eg affiliate sales, BrandConnect, licensing related). That’s a total pool of $76 billion and change in 2024, only some of which does not draw back to YouTube.

The article doesn’t address her estimates and I don’t have access to her reporting, but that’s how I believe she gets there and why some estimation is required.
