Subject: Re: 17 Inspectors General Fired
Some responses from Senators today
Thune: I haven’t [been given a heads up], so I better reserve comment. I’m sure I will.
Murkowski: The summary dismissal of everybody, I think, has raised concerns.
Grassley: There may be good reason the IGs were fired. We need to know that if so.
Collins: I don’t understand why one would fire individuals whose mission is to root out waste, fraud and abuse. So this leaves a gap in what I know is a priority for President Trump.
What a bunch of wimps. Nothing but kowtowing to King Trump. You are United States Senators. You are co-equal defenders of Democracy.
Trump just spit in your face. He has defied the laws you wrote and enacted. He dismissed your role in governing this country. You should be outraged at this insult to your authority, not “concerned.”
Yes, the Senate has a long tradition of acting and speaking in measured tones. But there are times to break with that tradition. This would be one of those times.

Hey Susan. Waste, fraud and abuse is absolutely a priority for Trump. He wants to do as much of it for his own benefit - and the benefit of his oligarch buddies - as he can.
