Somebody's getting rich, then. Because we are a net exporter of energy. We have more than we need. There is no reason our prices should be going up.

It's nuanced. We're using less and less coal, for example, so what gets mined is sent overseas to places like China. So while we're exporting energy...it's energy we choose via policy to not use in the US. Hence some of the higher prices for the things we do use.
