Subject: pets aren't people
Interesting piece on how we are treating our pets like people, and how it may be harming them. I totally disagree with the confinement of a pet, so I am with the author there. But I don't see a problem with "indoor dogs" (or cats) as long as they are given the opportunity to roam (either one's property, or in accordance with leash laws). Our dog when I was younger would let you know when she wanted to go out, and later when she wanted to come back in. I think a doggie door is a cool idea, but wouldn't work well with a Dane (may as well make the whole door a doggie door ;-). I have seen many deployed.
I would never get a pet "stroller". It's got four legs, it can stroll on its own.
