Subject: Mortgage rates fall below 7%
Rates for 30-year mortgages have now fallen below 7%. During the 1990s, mortgage rates averaged around 7.5%, and were around 6% the following decade. So today's rate is the norm, not the exception.
Those of us who locked in below 3% a few years ago are lucky, and is the reason why many of us are staying put in bigger houses than we need. I'm certainly guilty of that. Hopefully affordability gets better for millenials and Gen-Zs soon.
