Subject: Simon And Garfunkel
I adore Simon and Garfunkel. I listen to the songs most days. and I watch some live stuff - like the Central Park concert and a great rendition of "Cecilia" from another live concert all the time on YouTube.
I never get into the gossip and stuff about singers. It's not my thing. BUT in this case I'm glad to know there was some reconciliation. Music-wise, I feel like Mommy and Daddy stopped fighting and it's nice :)

"I was a fool’: Art Garfunkel describes tearful reunion with Paul Simon
Singer describes recent meeting where Simon said he was offended by an old interview, and pair reconciled"
The Central Park concert they made a rare mistake during the Boxer, even Simon was chuckling. And then they added a verse which I'll paraphrase best I can ....
"Now the years are going by me, they are rocking evenly. and ham older than I once was, and younger than I'll be, that's not unusual. No it isn't strange after changes upon changes, we are more or less the same. After changes, we are more or less the same" and the crowed responded and Simon and Garfunkel smiled.
Damn right. More or less the same.
Things like singers, movies, actors - when they get older or athletes when they retire....I guess it marks time for me. Reminds me.....how it ain't forever and I resent how things just have to change. Other than obvious things like civil rights or science - I really detest why things just have to change.
I was watching an old "Alumni Game" from NHL - Detroit vs Colorado --- man what a rivalry. To see all the older guys - my guys get on the ice again. 95% in good humor by 5%.....the grudge IS there still! I see my stars of childhood like Steve Yzerman - actually replicate an old play and score and I can't help but think - god dammit he still has it. If only he could still play - but then I'm proud to see him in a suit - as General Manager. But man - be it athletes, singers, maybe some politicians whatever -- I really hate that it comes to and end, or has to "evolve" or change.
Rocky Balboa, in his older age said something so amazing When asked why Apollo Creed lost - he said "time. Time beat him. Time takes down everyone. Time is undefeated"
