They’d agree to a one year extension while a bipartisan solution is worked out. I’m sure of that.
And no Republican solution is going to be ready for this cycle anyway. We are selecting our insurance plans right now. So a one year extension makes sense.
I read that Trump was going to tout a 2 year extension. Sorry you have to deal with that, but there's disunity on the Republican side I've read, so they should extend. If they extend to 2028, it'll likely became an election issue.
Yes, you do have to choose now. My wife is now on my insurance, but I'm not sure if it extends after I die. Have to check. :) I signed both of us up for FEPblue dental insurance, I'm using it to limit treatment as I think there are mercenary dentists around here. One dentist came up with a $12k bill for my teeth. Had a tough time following him, but he seemed to think there were infections at the bottom of every crown, etc., and they would have to pull the crown, drill down and kill the infection, and make a new crown. Dental capitalism. :) My wife's teeth need work. I got a crown, x rays, and laser teeth cleaning in the Phils for $500. No mention of infections everywhere in my mouth.
