LM: Nope, don’t pass the buck. Biden’s first day in Office he rescinded all President Trumps border policies and declared our southern border is open..wide open.
All Biden has to do is reverse his open door policy by executive power same as he used his executive power to allow border wall construction in Texas at a pours gap for border crossing
Except Biden didn't and left Title 42 in place. He did make the border more humane, but there wasn't an open border. There are still plenty of illegals working in the Dairy and farms industry around you though LM.
"Title 42, a COVID-19 public health restriction affecting migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, expired on May 11, 2023, when the public health emergency for COVID-19 was lifted. This development alters three years of U.S. immigration policy, introducing both new opportunities and new risks. For the first time since March 2020, the United States will have to grapple with the public health, border control, humanitarian, legal, and ethical implications of a return to Title 8 — the standard, decades-old rules for enforcing immigration law."
"What Biden did: He defended keeping Title 42 in place, using the pandemic as justification.
Over 2.28 million people were expelled using Title 42 authority between January 2021 and March 2023, the last month for which data is available.
But when the US ended its coronavirus public health emergency on May 11, Title 42 expired with it."
