Subject: Re: Student Loans
Aussi,

Thanks for being the better person. I was going to reply to VIIIandXX's post on the Berkshire board with this, and I'm glad you took it here and were the bigger person. Your good example helped me be a better person in that moment. My copied reply is below the dashes.

The original shameful and dishonest post is https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?pid...

Fine if we're talking politics here, I won't bother posting elsewhere.

One should not be dishonest or intentionally ignorant. That is basic kindergarten and 10 Commandments level ethical advice, like you tell a child. I don't know which you are doing and I do not care.

Biden abided by the courts decision, and worked on an alternate approach that passed legal muster. You are just cherry picking a quote to make it appear otherwise. You can disagree with the outcome, but he respected the ruling and independence of the judiciary. That is a fundamental difference, and while many people would be disappointed with the current administration's policies if respected the judicial branch and the American system of government in general, they would not be divesting and moving out of the country in a hurry.

Don't you think that it is alarming that a number of longstanding, generally apolitical, conservatively tempered members of this board are leaving the country and selling US assets? Doesn't that give you pause, or some degree of concern?
