I've been pounding the table about overpopulation for a long long time.

Religionist opposition to family planning isn't helping.

People respond "No sano, education will improve things." "No sano, technology will save us." "No sano, the rate of growth is slowing down, it'll be okay."

I've written about how in the 1980s the average age south of the border was 10 yrs old, and how all those kids would boom their impoverished populations if the Pope didn't hop on the Planned Parenthood train..... and how US religionists and right-wing anti-birth control and anti-abortion forces were shooting us in the foot.

I said Africa and South America populations would swarm north.

Well here they are and they ain't a stoppin'. - sano

Well, I'll be dipped. Something we agree on. I would add that population growth (and third world modernization) is at the top of the list of significant emitters of CO2.
