Subject: Re: Buybacks and announcement
" But I think the formal announcement in near real-time that buybacks have begun is a terrible idea and sets a very bad precedent. There was no need for that announcement and associated SEC filing."
To repeat, there was no need to stipulate a 1.1 xs BV limit when the buyback was first initiated.
There was no reason to raise the buyback limit to 1.2 xs BV.
There was no reason to announce brk MAY act on a buyback that has already been authorized.
For the deep thinkers, and the slow learners, you know who you are, WHY has Buffett done this over and over again?
Thank you.
