Yup. In one ep, Magnum was supposed to be in Detroit. That ep had Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell, 2nd base and short, respectively, for the Tigers in the 80s, make cameo appearances.

I was watching a Tigers game one day, and the cameraman found Selleck in the stands. That was a bit after Magnum went off. What was unusual was that Selleck had shaved off the mustache.
