No. But some military aid would be in order along with sharing of military intelligence. If you're unfamiliar China and Vietnam have had skirmishes and battles going waay back, China has invaded Vietnam twice, rebuffed both times, and there were skirmishes on the Spratley Islands, the Paracels, etc. No love lost.
