I'm not thrilled about it - but *any* infringement on your Bill of Rights is to be suported so if it starts with guns - so be it.

Oh Lord, the ignorance is astonishing.

Freedom of speech does not cede the right to slander people, or to print the blueprints for the construction of a nuclear weapon, nor to, as the famous trope goes, yell “fire” in a crowded auditorium. The First Amendment has been “infringed”.

Freedom of religion does not mean your religion can have polygamy, nor abuse your wife, nor own slaves - so that part of the first amendment has also been “infringed.”

The Secon d Amendment, by the way, contains the words “A well; regulated militia”, words which Justice Scalia made disappear, in contravention to all other words in the Constitution. I suspect that will not stand forever.

The Fourth Amendment calls for warrants to be issued “on probable cause”, which we see ICE violating daily, so I’d have to say that one has been “infringed” as well. And that right to be secure against “unreasonable searches and seizures” has been bent beyond recognition; you go through a full body search every time you enter an airport. Not to mention a concert hall or even many schools these days. “Pro-active searches”, that’s what the Founding Fathers had in mind, I’m sure.

The Fifth Amendments calls for no person to be tried twice for the same offense, except now we separate them into Federal an State offenses and you can, indeed, find yourself in court over the same thing. Pretty big infringement, if you ask me.

The Sixth guarantees “a speedy trial”, which is a joke, obviously. “Infringed” much? I’ll say.

Well, I could go on, but I hope the pint is clear by now. The Constitution has been flexible, at least to a limited degree, in so many ways except for the morons who claim the Second Amendment is not, cannot, in any way, be reconciled with anything in our modern society - with weapons, I point out, that the writers of the Constitution could never have imagined.

I think most people have gotten the point by now. Not you, of course, but I’d guess everyone else.

“Infringed”. Ho ho ho, you are too funny.
