Some dopple on ignore: Mamdani cannot make groceries "more affordable" by setting up a chain of "free grocery stores." He can create shortages of grocery stores and food by doing so. It's basic economics.

Gee, why aren't you cultists pissing and moaning about Atlanta's Azalea Fresh Market, the city's first grocery store -- the second will be in another food desert in Southwest Atlanta -- for which it's providing funding, land/lease support, and oversight with daily operations handled by partner Savi Provisions... pretty much exactly what Mamdani is proposing.
