I keep thinking that one day, he’s gonna show up dressed like Muammar Gaddafi-

iirc Kaddaffi (seems the media could never agree how to spell his name) was a Colonel in the Libyan army, at the time of the coup.

Churchill liked to wear uniforms, when he was PM, during the war. But then, he was a British Army vet, tho, iirc, his choice tended to be RAF uniforms.

From the Google net sifter:

Winston Churchill wore his Royal Air Force uniform as an Honorary Air Commodore of the 615 (County of Surrey) Fighter Squadron. He first appeared in the uniform in 1939 and wore it on official visits to RAF facilities during World War II to show his support for the air force and the war effort. He also held the honorary rank of Air Commodore and was awarded honorary pilot's wings in 1943.

Hey! There's a thought. His nibs could appoint himself an "honorary" 10 star General, because, after all, he's twice as important as any other General that has ever been, right?
