Subject: Re: Is This The Atheist Shrewd...
There's different atheists....
1.It's perfectly ok not to believe in some divine power and one can live by their own moral code and ethos - and that is absolutely perfectly fine.
2.)I'm an Atheist because I love flashing my badge, and I use it to bash Christianity 95% of the time, and other religions 5% of the time, only if forced to in a tacit way.I'll whine about Right Wing posts, but not Left Wing posts that had equally nothing to do with Atheism. I'm standing outside the drugstore asking people to accept nobody as their lord and personal savior. I'm a hypocrite who is lost and needs to belong to a gang, so I chose this one. I got me a degree, a 401K, I love my earnings per share and tax deferrals but I like to crow on social media about fairness even though I partake in benefits that others can't afford to or are unable to. Raise gas price I'm gonna castigate the CEOs, but I'll never question the grandiose resort style college campuses, and all the professors and faculty and admins making the coin while churning out debt on students.
While we're on the subject.....
I believe in some sort of supreme. Could be a. deity Could be Providence. Could be a coke-can. I really have no clue what this supreme is, and I have seen no proof. I am suspicious at best, and have disdain at worse - for all organized religions. I feel Man has used ALL religions for simple things: To control behavior - sometimes for good reasons be it finances, family planning, social structure. To have dominion over women, sexually and otherwise. To control the masses - -sometimes just because the Powerful felt like it, other times to benefit the powerful economically and politically. This is not against the respective flocks - SOME, I repeat SOME whom try to live their faith. This is to the leaders, the structures, the organizations - who are scraggly mortals just like me, yet somehow they have a Red Phone to God. No, I dont buy it. Once they live their faith - I'm willing to listen.
