Do I know how well it'll work - no.

Do I have any idea who will staff it and if cost estimates are right - no/

Do I hate that bad culture and family structures are *partially* the reason for this need? Yes.

Will there be some fraud? Yep, no different than any other gov't program (trust me, I've done it :)

BUT......

Instead of shouting "Culture of Life" and "Family Values" and "all Jesus's Children"....these guys, instead of gay affairs and instead of posing with guns.....are TRYING, at least TRYING....to do something....for kids and families.

This is far better than insisting that "God's kids" are born.....and then are on their own.

I 've told Smug Liberals and NeoCons for a long time: Ignore immigration and multiculturalism run amok. ignore economic displacement due to IT economy and global trade and something will give. And it did with MAGA -- do you like it?

I continue to feel as someone who *prefers* a Right of Center America: Say "noun, verb, free market" for everything. Say "Here's a tax voucher" for everything. Ignore things like child care needs, health insurance costs and access..... and I continue to warn - -give birth to an AOC America.

NYC did just that, maybe temporarily with Mamdani.

The question is - do we want America to be an AOC-ish country one day. I feel we can prevent it -- sometimes with compromise.

BUT, anyway.... fact remains. Who is trying to put ACTION behind "we love children" and Family values".

Sorry---but in this case - it's Mamdani.

I hate that it'll be one more way to hook Americans on government like the Left wants.

It'll increase the plantation size - like the Left wants.

BUT at least the Left trying to do something. Trying to do something. Versus wearing a low-cut dress with a big gold crucifix and touting a bible verse and being happy that on Rapture Day they're gonna disappear and reunite with the Lochness Monster and Yeti and have 72 virgins all to themselves.

More Americans than ever need government for what families used to be responsible in those awful ugly old days.
