Marimar Martinez wasn't killed, in spite of a Border Patrol agent doing his best to kill her, and bragging about it later.

Feds Dismiss Charges Against Woman Shot by Border Patrol Agent in Brighton Park

Prosecutors claimed the vehicles driven by Martinez and Ruiz boxed in the agents’ vehicle at which point Border Patrol agent Charles Exum exited the car, and fired five shots from his service weapon at Martinez.

The department referred to Martinez and Ruiz as “domestic terrorists” and claimed Martinez was armed with a semi-automatic weapon, though she was never charged with any weapons violations.

...body-camera footage from the incident showed an agent carrying an assault rifle and saying “Do something b--ch” before the shooting, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Text messages revealed in court as part of the case showed Exum had bragged to others, sending out a story about the shooting with the message “Read it. 5 shots, 7 holes.”

He later added “Cool. I’m up for another round of ‘f--k around and find out’” and then “Sweet. My 15 mins of fame. Lmao.”

Martinez’s attorney, Christopher Parente, revealed in court that body camera video shows federal agents ramming into Martinez — not the other way around. This directly contradicts federal agents’ claims that Martinez was a threat who rammed them.

The footage also reportedly shows one Border Patrol agent, moments before opening fire, aiming an assault rifle and shouting: "Do something, b---h."

Martinez’s gun remained in her purse, according to police audio.
She holds a valid concealed carry license.
She was not charged for having the weapon.
