LurkerMom: Don’t blame Trump for Biden’s failures.

No need. Instead, let's blame Trump for Trump's failures.

North Korea added to its nuclear stockpile and built more and better missiles despite Trump’s open and frequent ass-kissing of Kim Jong-un.

Trump singlehandedly enabled Iran to reduce the time it would need to develop nuclear weapons by his unilateral exit from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Venezuela’s dictatorship became more entrenched in the Trump years.

Russia, Syria, and Iran increased their influence across the Middle East with Trump's isolationism and his decision to withdraw troops and support for local partners in the region.

Abandonment became the hallmark of Trump’s foreign policy (just go ask our Kurdish allies or the people in northeastern Syria -- oh wait, you can't, they've either fled or are dead) as did his frequent and full-throated criticism of America’s European and Asian allies.

Trump cozied up to almost every authoritarian leader and disregarded human-rights violations (in fact, often praising those violations), reducing US influence on the world stage.

Trump's blend of nationalism, unilateralism, and isolationism disrupted relationships and arrangements without putting anything better in their place, handing president Biden a world that was in far worse condition than he inherited.

And that's to say nothing of Trump demonizing the media, violating established norms, promoting lies, questioning the authority of the courts, and rejecting the results of a presidential election that passed every serious test of its legitimacy.

Trump’s flawed response to the COVID-19 pandemic caused millions of jobs and businesses to disappear (some permanently), millions of students to fall behind, and governments and people around the world to lose respect for America.

No other president has done as much damage to American democracy than the man put a cherry on his presidency by inciting a mob of his supporters to besiege and occupy the US Capitol, and then stood by watching for hours in complete dereliction of his duties.
