Subject: We've Reached the Point...
...where former president Trump has moved from arguing that he did not commit crimes to arguing that as president he must be allowed to commit crimes, posting on Truth Social this morning (well, the middle of the night, actually): "A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MUST HAVE FULL IMMUNITY, WITHOUT WHICH IT WOUD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM/HER TO PROPERLY FUNCTION. ANY MISTAKE, EVEN IF WELL INTENDED, WOULD BE MET WITH ALMOST CERTAIN INDICTMENT BY THE OPPOSING PARTY AT TERM END. EVEN EVENTS THAT “CROSS THE LINE” MUST FALL UNDER TOTAL IMMUNITY, OR IT WILL BE YEARS OF TRAUMA TRYING TO DETERMINE GOOD FROM BAD."

Umm, friendly tips: the peaceful transfer of power 'good,' insurrection 'bad'; returning top secret documents under subpoena 'good,' playing keep away with top secret documents 'bad'; allowing states to run their elections 'good,' threatening state election officials who refuse to find 11,780 votes 'bad.'

In short, do not commit crimes as president and you wont be indicted.

No immunity necessary.

You're welcome.
