Subject: Re: Criticism of Jim
I hadn't noticed anything.
I went off grid for a bit and must have missed stuff..just as well?

Obviously I only write posts because I'm a rec hog, but if some folks aren't interested that's cool.
I hope everyone bears in mind that I write about things that interest me, certainly not in proportion to how much I might invest in them.

For example, has anyone noticed that Amazon's stock price, despite being up a remarkable 70.8% year to date, has underperformed the average S&P 500 company's stock in the last five years?
The difference is about 9.2%, not annualized, using RSP as a good prosy to track "the average S&P 500 firm".
This says nothing about the relative attractiveness at the moment, but it suggests that Amazon stock wasn't a particularly timely pick five years ago.
Great firm, great progress in business results. But for me, the recent return outcome suggests the wisdom of remembering that there exists no growth rate so high that valuation doesn't matter.
