Subject: Thanksgiving thoughts
I have a lot to be thankful for this year. My bike accident in October made me thankful for helpful strangers who called 911 and helped get me to the edge of the road. The emergency responders and ambulance EMTs who got me to the hospital quickly and in as little pain as possible. The doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, CNAs and all the other people who treated me in the two hospitals with such care and compassion over the next 4 days. My wife who puts up with me should probably have been at the top of this list. I'm riding the trainer and hoping to be back on my bike again in 2-3 more weeks.
