NEWS: 241-187, House votes to adopt the rule to advance the Biden-McCarthy debt limit legislation.

29 Republicans vote NO.

52 Democrats vote YES.

This sets up a final House vote later today.

A very good sign for the bill's prospects of passage.

They're going to wait a bit (McCarthy promised 72 hours for review of all bills and they're sticking to that), then the floor debate is the next step. If they got this many votes for the rules passage that's a great sign they'll get this done and over to the Senate. The adults in the room won for a change.

And before someone asks, yes: The Freedom Caucus beclowned themselves on this one. Right along with Jayapal and the progressive wing.
