I shared the interesting Visual Capitalist graphic with a number of friends. One astute guy pointed out a significant flaw in the presentation - it is based on nominal dollars, which understates the real value of past earnings. This is particularly for companies that have been around a long time. XOM, for example, would rank significantly higher in constant dollars. Relative rankings for others such as KO, IBM, P&G, GM, etc. would also change.
Probably wouldn't change who is included in the list - but the spreads might look quite different.
