Subject: Fetterman
I'd heard the name, but don't really concern myself with PA politics. So didn't really know a lot about him (like he almost died from a stroke). Apparently both the extreme right and the extreme left want him dead. So he's probably my kinda guy!! ;-)
He is staunchly pro-Israel. In this article he doesn't say much about the Palestinians. I also have no sympathy for Hamas, and after 9/11 I was OK with the US blasting those who harbored the folks that were giving shelter to the enemy. So I get where Israel is coming from. At the same time, a lot of people who have no interest in politics or Hamas are dying. They just want to go about their lives unmolested. I don't know what to do about that, but we should at least acknowledge it.

But it’s a reasonable conversation to talk about the border.”

The Pennsylvania senator said he still aligns with many progressive goals, including a $15 minimum wage, universal health care, legalizing marijuana and abolishing the Senate filibuster.
But he said he no longer relates to the overarching label of “progressive” — especially as the left has become more interested in demanding what he described as “purity tests.”
Yeah...I think I may like this guy. I'm sure I won't agree with him about everything, but then I very seldom do with anyone.
