We need to take their guns.

Saw a discussion of the court's interpretation of the second amendment a couple days ago. The "originalists" in the court want to turn the clock back to 1791. For instance, there was no way to run a background check on someone in 1791, so they want that to be the law now: no background check.

OK....if that's the way they want to play, lets decree that the second only applies to the sort of guns that were available in 1791: single shot, muzzle loading, flintlocks. You want an assault rifle Bunkie? The second doesn't apply to that sort of gun.
