Except for a 5 year stint in Chicago for seminary, I spent 1965-1990 in Oklahoma and then Texas- ground zero for the fundamentalist/evangelical/Christian nationalist assault on the Constitutional order- most especially on “religious freedom” and the “wall of separation

I was there for the unfolding of this unholy enterprise that the rest of the country is only now snapping to.
