Subject: Re: ActBlue, on its last legs?
Mark Block, former chief of staff to Republican 2012 presidential candidate Herman Cain, alleges that a total of $884.38 given in his name and without his knowledge between May and October was designed to circumvent federal election law and may be part of a larger scam involving tens of thousands of unwitting donors.

Would be a crime if true.

But coming from the Federalist Society (Project 2025) and the right wing tabloid New York Post, this could easily qualify as “We’ve seen this bullshit before”.

Wait for state charges. The feds are quickly being suborned by Trump’s political retribution machine, so I wouldn’t necessarily trust them to render an honest indictment.

But we’ll see. I’ll keep an open mind. I quit giving through Act Blue teo months before the election, so I am open to the possibility of a fraud indictment, but this smells too much like a right wing hatchet job.
