Surely it would NEVER EVER enter Israel leadership’s mind to sabotage a ceasefire they don’t like, would it?

Over the last year, it has been apparent that the Israeli interpretation of "cease fire", in Gaza and Lebanon, is to slightly reduce the rate they kill civilians.
