The Beeb had several people discussing that conference. First consensus was that, given the complexity of the issues, it was absurd to think anything could be resolved in a day or two.

One analyst said that, at the jump, Trump said that, if it succeeded, he would take all the credit for himself. If it failed, he would blame Vance. (Typical "JC" move)

She is both non-white, and not a Christian. Two strikes against her, in MAGA land. Vance is supposedly, Catholic. As noted last week, given the lack of a Catholic Easter service at the Pentagon, and threats made to the Pope, this regime is becoming openly anti-Catholic faster than I anticipated. I would not be surprised to see Vance thrown under the bus, and replaced with someone with better white, evangelical Christian, credentials, like Mike Johnson (Southern Baptist)
