The best approach is to post at the most fitting board, and then if it also is likely interesting to Berkshire readers (yours definitely will be) then make a brief intro post at Berkshire with the url for the actual post on this board. In this way the thread continues on the correct board, and traffic is introduced.

This makes complete sense, but I initially just responded to a post on the Berkshire board. I could have put a link to that on the Fairfax board, but that wouldn’t contribute to further traffic on the Fairfax board. Given the low volume on the Fairfax board, it seemed better to start a new thread on the Fairfax board which could then continue there.
