Subject: Take more away from the Proles
Belle Isle is an island in the Detroit River, offshore of downtown Detroit. Since 1845, it has been a public park. Originally free for the use of city residents, it became a state park when Detroit was bankrupt. Still open to state residents, with free access to people walking, biking, or riding mass transit, or with the purchase of an annual pass to all Michigan state parks, which is about $14.
The island is very popular with area residents, for a day away from the crowds of the city, and a great place to watch the summer fireworks.
Now, a "JC" has hatched a plan to evict the Proles, and redevelop the island as a playground for the rich.
Detroiters weigh in on survey over ‘economic zone’ concept for Belle Isle
The proposed project includes high-income, mixed-use housing, entertainment and a retail district with a population of 50,000. In this project concept, Detroit would reportedly receive a $1 billion payment from sponsors and $50 million each year, and residents would be given unique tax advantages.

After all, in the "golden age" of Shinyland, Proles will have no use for parks, because they will be working every waking moment, to make the rich richer.
