Subject: Re: Politicians Over the Years
I worked labor gang in a steel mill. Solid ingots of steel would come out of the furnace and be rolled down to where men could work on them. A pilger machine would by constant pressure and pounding shape the ingot into a cylinder which would be processed into solid pipe and tested. As labor gang, when the furnace was down, I would crawl up under the rollers and shovel out the metal flakes that broke off the metal rolling along. It was tedious, claustrophobic work. I would go under the furnace and clear out debris breaking off from the brick furnace. I would walk out across the furnace when it was working with an air hose and blow off the settled dust and debris to protect the brick. I would sometimes operate a jack hammer to break down the furnace so that mason could build a new one. It was rough work.
I grew to like most of the working men there, and I would like to see them treated fairly and not robbed by expensive health care by people who don't give a damn about them. Trump is one.
